Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26. The trial court rejected his bail plea on March 31.

In its order, the court prima facie held that Sisodia played the most vital role in the conspiracy.
Sisodia's bail plea will be heard by Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma.

"...it is desired that during this period, the IO shall complete all the above confrontation exercise and also the examination and interrogation of the accused for the above said purposes," the court has said.
In his order, Special CBI judge MK Nagpal noted that he is extending Sisodia's remand because he is yet to be confronted with two material witnesses and one important file pertaining to Cabinet note prepared in respect to excise policy is also yet to be traced out.

Delhi court orders CBI to interrogate #ManishSisodia at a place which has CCTV cameras to remove apprehension that any force is used on him.

He will be medically examined every 48 hours and his wife will be able to meet him for 15 minutes every day.

While remanding Sisodia to 5 days police custody, the Judge MK Nagpal has said Sisodia will also be allowed to meet his lawyers every day for half an hour between 6pm and 7pm.

We'd mailed questions to the office of @msisodia, and waited three weeks, not wishing to run the story without a response. After we held on thru a series of dilatory moves and attempts to scuttle the story, the Deputy CM called us for a meeting. I personally met Sisodia...
If you can justify the excise policy, do put it on record, I said. But he skirted all specific questions, indeed seemed to take umbrage at the fact that they could be asked at all. "Could you ask such questions to Mr Modi?" is all Sisodia said.
