(1/n) To help everyone stay safe, avoid contact and avoid going out of home, StoreSe ( (a service by Perpule) has launched an Apartment Grocery Ordering Platform which is setting up apartment specific storefronts for residents to order groceries.
StoreSe has partnered with Metro, More, Vishal Mega Mart, Spencer's, Big Bazaar and others to help with the grocery delivery to the apartments.
It works as follows:
1) Visit and place your order and make an online payment (Card/UPI, etc.)
2) Get delivery time notification for your order (typically 3pm to 6pm the next day)
3) Pick up your order from the designated location within your community

Has Doordash really overtaken $GRUB & Ubereats, per this @FortuneMagazine piece? "Though DoorDash is top when it comes to consumer $; it trails Uber Eats in total # transactions."
IMO, data seems suspect due to my informal polling.
#delivery $uber
1. According to @jonathanmaze, $GRUB is still top
2. Restaurant give delivery co too much power. Contrasts $GRUB & $UBER mentions vs no mentions of $SYY Sysco
3. Shouldn't $10B delivery rev be / by 15% take to get correct rev comparisons w/ restaurant
1. Delivery attracts new customer for restaurants $MCD: 70% of delivery were ppl who don't dine-in, ~30% cannibalization
2. Avg check per delivery 2x dine-in check; offsets $ to $GRUB
3. $PNRA spent $100M + $2 net variable exp for own delivery

Let's have our weekly #GlobalEChats and discuss the topic of #foodtech #delivery.

As #food is a necessity, it is natural that #entrepreneurs are lured into venturing in the F&B business. What more with #IR40, we often think of taking business one step ahead: by involving tech!
Now let's break this down into two types of niche within #fooddelivery and #fnb industry.

1. You own the restaurant and you are providing an additional delivery #service.

2. You don't own any restaurant and you are merely the delivery service.

The two are very different!
To help put points into perspective:

#1 is a classic example of pizza stores such as @DominosMY. Any #eatery can set up its own delivery system.

#2 is a rather new invention. Such examples would be @foodpanda_my and @GrabMY's GrabFood service!

Like most IT people I love tools. And tools are absolutely vital to #Agile, esp. #automation of #development & #delivery. But when it comes to managing teams & processes, do #tools and #Agile always mix? Maybe not…
1. Software developers like #tools. No, they adore tools. They seem the most natural way to solve a problem, and they are familiar territory that any #delivery team is more than happy to enter. #Agile
2. But #tools provide little support for the *content* of most #Agile delivery tasks, from defining Product Vision to conducting Daily Stand-Up Meetings. They do support day-to-day workflow, reporting and recording, but at that level are often easily replaced by manual #methods.
