Remember that the fire-service respond to a range of incidents beyond fire-fighting from road traffic accidents to flooding, search and rescue operations.

However business might consider letting staff work from home on strike days & offering fire safety advice.
Businesses should test fire alarm & run drills on fire alarm response, first aid fire-fighting, assisted evacuation for disabled occupants & suspending hot-works etc.

At home test your fire alarm & ensure everyone know an what to do in event of a fire.
