In a recent guideline announced by the University Grants Commission (#UGC)has allowed to pursue two full time #academic programmes at the same time.
This guideline is a part of the National Education Policy & will be applicable from current academic year 2022-2023.

(3/4) A few pointers of guidelines are -
A. Students can pursue 2 degrees in physical-physical mode, physical-online mode or online-online mode.
Eg- B.A. & BCom can be done together.
B. Courses can be from the same #university or from different universities.

Ideally, I would support it with research data. But the issues are well known.
1. Our public and private education system is not effective in building capability among our young...
..and the public and private sector employers don’t want to invest in people (reflected in the proportion of contract workers at various levels)...
2. At the same time, we are running a parallel system of coaching classes and training institutes where the family spending on education and training ends up being way beyond their means, resulting in education-driven indebtedness growing by the day.

அது இனிமேல் மாறும். அதாவது 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 என்றுவர இருக்கின்றது. இதனால், 3 வயதிலிருந்தே குழந்தைகள் கல்வி கற்க நிர்பந்தப்படுத்தப்படுவார்கள். விளையாடும் குழந்தைக்கு படிப்பு & தேர்வு என வர உள்ளது. 3 வயது குழந்தைக்கு படிப்பு எதற்கு என நாம் முதலிலேயே எதிர்த்தோம். 5 வகுப்பிற்கு 2/
பொதுதேர்விற்கே கண்டனம் தெரிவித்த நாம் இதற்கு என்ன செய்யப் போகின்றோம்?
