The recent meeting was held with Head of Partnerships Tobias Halloran and @OfMiklos - a $QNT legend who truly gets the $CHEQ value proposition.
@cheqd_io are a #DiD project focused on creating #TrustedDataMarkets - that is, creating a way to monetize the enforced changes being brought in by the EU's #eIDAS legislation.

2. its greatest failing to me is that it proposes redesigning the entire British state on the once-in-a-century scale of eg the 19th century civil service reforms which still largely prevail. In a slightly scattergun manner…

2/18 eIDAS is an EU regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the European Single Market. It was established in 2014 but did not realise its intended potential. Hence, the planned revision.
3/18 Current shortcomings of the regulation include:
1) Optional #eID notification for member states;
2) Limited option to exercise data protection rights;
3) Limitation to public services and
4) No level playing field for trust service providers.

Every EU citizen and resident will get a unique, live-long identifier. Such a persistent ID was deemed unconstitutional in several EU countries. That didn’t stop the EU Commission to propose every tracking companies dream. 2/13
Governments have to offer their citizens a European Digital Identity Wallet App which will be free of charge and optional. But eGovernment services will use it and Big Tech companies like Google and Amazon will have to support it to log into their servies. 3/13
