Femi Adesina was a brilliant newspaper editor, but you don’t need to be an Army General to be a brilliant NSA or a medical doctor to be Health Minister, you don’t need to be a journos to speak for the President. Femi is good in editing but very poor in speaking for the President.
Femi will make a good Pastor in Aso Chapel, how relevant is the story of how Nehemiah completed the wall of Jericho?or how Goliath was killed by David when you speak for the President of a multi-religious country? Garba Sheu write well but he is also an Editor who can’t even speak
for himself,he writes well but speak poorly. Doyin Okupe is a medical doctor but when Jonathan came under fire from opposition,he got hired and did a good job defending a bad government. The #EndSarsProtests brought the lack of capacity of the public communication arm of this

SEUN KUTI pulled out a gun over a street parking matter in Ikeja tonight, personally assaulted the car owners attending the party, used thugs to assault them and called them gluttons at a paid event...I saw it happen.

It was abt 7pm when I decided to stroll out of the Lagos Facebook Hangout party held at 16, Akin Osinyemi Street, off Allen Ave, Ikeja. Outside the building where I stood, I couldn't help but shift attention to the man in an armless top & slightly over the knee trouser, raging.
He was mad that the party attendees littered the street where he obviously lives with their cars - a genuine concern (his gate was affected). There was a resident stranded in his car trying to access his compound but couldn't.

Yesterday, I read the thread of a young man who was robbed at Ojota. He said the robbers beating him blue-black and took everything from him
He said he was so sure they were going to kill him that he was already praying that God should take his soul. He also said the officers of
the Nigerian Police were about 20 meters away from the incident
They were seated in their patrol vans and watched as he was beaten within an inch of his life
I read through over 2000 comments that the thread generated
Everybody blamed the police officers and wished the young man
well.
When I was a journalist, there was a young man who was employed as a reporter whom i love very well
He would go out and do vox pops on topical issues
He was quite good at getting the people to say their minds and soon became quite known even beyond Lagos
I remember the

My Hypothesis about Lekki Incident

After waiting for over 72hrs for victims of Lekki incident to be identified despite the call by @jidesanwoolu @BBCWorld & many more, I am compelled to begin to string events together in an effort to make sense of what actually happened
My hypothesis is that Lekki incident was a display of a well rehearsed script, directed by a very talented director.
Why did I said this?
1. It's over 72hrs & we still don't have the identity of the victims. Could it be because they don't exist?
2. The only eyewitness to the arrival of the so called military was a foreign journalist who claimed to see people arriving on bikes & started shooting sporadically. Though she didn't back up her claim with any video, I will assume she is right because nobody has contradicted her

The unfortunate hijack by hoodlums who escalated ordinarily peaceful protests organised by law-abiding Ogun State youths led to tragic loss of lives and damage of public property today. Image
Some of these include the razing of Atan-Ota Police Station, death of the Divisional Crime Officer and one other victim; serious injuries to the Division Police Officer; and supremacy battles between miscreant loyalties in other locations.
My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of every soul lost in this fracas.

In the past 13 days, Ogun State and indeed the whole of Nigeria have witnessed resounding protests from a majority youth population, clamouring for an end to the now disbanded SARS; a holistic reform of the Nigeria Police; and a sundry other demands, which have so far...
... significantly disrupted the daily socioeconomic lives of our people.
In solidarity with the totality of peaceful protesters exercising their fundamental rights, I facilitated the immediate release from custody, of over 30 of our youth on behalf of our responsible and responsive Government.

I woke up to the peaceful #EndSARSProtests going on in Lagos and other cities in the country.

First, I would like to commend the tenacity of our brave youths who have stayed out on the streets all day and night to make their voices heard. I stand with you all.
Protests are an essential part of any democracy as we have seen the world over, and should be seen as an opportunity for dialogue between our people and our leaders.
Thus, it is essential that the fundamental rights of Nigerians to freedom of assembly and freedom of expression must be protected at all costs.

A thread on what’s happening in Nigeria at the moment 🇳🇬 #EndSARS
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) is a unit of the Nigerian Police Force.

Over the years, there have been public records of SARS units committing acts of corruption and malpractice across the country.

Despite this, the Nigerian government has failed to take action.
SARS units across Nigeria have been unlawfully arresting and detaining young people across the country - kidnapping, murdering, stealing and extorting money from them and their family members.

Fashola AbdulHafeez, @officialnairam1 look at all the faces in this attached picture very well. Every of them were important to their family & friends. If at all a person is destined to live a short while at least their death shouldn't come in a gruesome manner. Image
@officialnairam1 These youngsters were not only killed by the irresponsibility of the Nigeria Police @PoliceNG & Nigeria Government @NigeriaGov ; but people who knew, loved & cherished them were also thrown into forever sorrows. Image
