Our hybrid closings in #epicvapple start in a bit. Today's in-court reporters are @doratki and @mslopatto. I'll be following along again today in case YGR gives some more clues about her thinking.
For Epic, Gary Bornstein will be doing all the talking. For Apple, Richard Doren will discuss remedies; Daniel Swanson will talk about market definition; and Veronica Moye will talk about conduct and effects.
YGR asks each side to give her their top two areas: Bornstein says market definition and remedy; Doren says those are good for Apple to start.

Day 15 (and our last trial day) for #epicvapple. MLex's @MActon93 and Law360's @doratki are in court today.

Apple CEO Tim Cook will be up first. After he's done, Aviel Rubin, Apple's security expert from Johns Hopkins, will finish his testimony.
Going through our morning introductions now.
Epic has roughly 2 hours left (YGR gave both sides 45 hours each and has been timing them)

Day 14 of #epicvapple. I feel a bit like a marathon runner entering the last few miles. The end is in sight, just have to get there.
Today's reporters are @mslopatto and @Siliconlaw. We're getting a few more expert witnesses from Apple today: UCLA's Dominique Hanssens; James Malackowski, CEO of Ocean Tomo; and Aviel Rubin from Johns Hopkins
YGR says she felt "too much stress" to watch the Warriors-Lakers game last night.

Welcome to Day 13 of #epicvapple. @joshua_sisco and @BobbyAllyn are doing double duty and are back in court again today.
Apple’s Michael Schmid, who works with game developers, will be back up on the stand this AM. After he’s done, Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering at Apple, will testify followed by Dominique Hanssens, Apple’s marketing/survey expert
YGR says she works every weekend during trial because she has "hundreds of other cases" and those do not end at the end of the trial day.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled #epicvapple coverage. Apple's Phil Schiller will be back up on the stand this morning. Expect him to have a tougher reception today as Epic's Katherine Forrest gets her chance at questioning.
Today and tomorrow, we have @joshua_sisco and @BobbyAllyn as the in-court reporters.
If Schiller finishes today (he might or might not depending on the cross examination), Apple's Michael Schmid, head of game business development for the App Store, is up next.

Day 11 in #epicvapple starts in about an hour. Today's in-court reporters are @eringriffith and @mslopatto. Harvard's James Mickens, Epic's security expert, will resume his testimony this AM. After he's done, Apple's Phil Schiller will be up.
YGR says she'd really like to finish the case next Monday (me too, your honor, me too). Apple and Epic's lawyers promise they will be done next Monday. YGR says she doesn't want the closing proceeding to take more than 3 hours, 90 minutes for each side.
The lawyers are now arguing about whether Apple's expert Loren Hitt should be allowed to change some of his written testimony. Epic says Hitt is changing his opinion in light of their cross examination last week.

Welcome to Day 10, which is (hopefully!) the last day of expertpalooza in #epicvapple! Today's in-court reporters are @peard33 and @MActon93.
First up, Epic's main expert David Evans takes the stand to offer rebuttal to the Schmalensee/LaFontaine/Hitt testimony.
Then we get Ned Barnes, Epic's accounting expert. Apple had asked to close the courtroom for Barnes' testimony but the judge denied that request. So hopefully some juicy details there.

Stanford's Susan Athey is back on the stand for #epicvapple this AM being cross examined by Apple's Karen Dunn.
Dunn is asking Athey a bunch of questions about Steam's apps, like Steam Chat, a messenger app. techcrunch.com/2019/05/21/val…
Athey says she's used Steam but not Steam Chat or Steam Link, an app that lets you stream Steam from your PC to your mobile device or TV en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_Link

Ok. Back to #epicvapple. Evans is still on the stand, now being questioned by Apple's lawyer Daniel Swanson. Swanson has asked a lot of questions about how Apple's App Store competes with Android App Stores.
Evans says they don't. “Android app stores do not meaningfully constrain” Apple, he said.
Apple has an approximately 50 percent market share, split with Google for operating systems, he says. But "Apple has monopoly power because of the inability of developers and users to substitute" Android App Stores for Apple's App Store.
