Hi, the disability community just lost someone who was dismissed and ignored by doctors. You may feel like we're drug seekers and that the doc had a right to refuse but frankly I am so tired of seeing and experiencing this shit. If your patient ends their life bc you won't 1/?
Treat them I feel as though you should be prosecuted. This is murder. She went through the proper channels. She wanted pain management. She was fucking denied in Colorado of all places. This doctor should not be allowed to practice anymore. I'm angry, tired, and disappointed.
Frankly we all are. If you're wondering what you can do, you can spread her name. Erin Gilmer deserves justice so this can stop happening. I can't tell you how many times I have been in her position of questioning if I should keep going through all this pain. The system failed
