I don't think I have much say in what's happening in #HongKong, given that I've only lived there for the first four years of my life & have visited there a handful times as an adult. #hongkongcanadian Photos From the Hong Kong Extradition Protests nyti.ms/2X3ywPH
However I have loved ones living there & my grandparents had worked hella hard to move to HK where they ended up having my parents & them having me. I've always been proud to say that I was born in HK while living in Canada & it's always been joyful talking about my visits there.
The past several years in HK have been slowly crushing my soul & now that I've a better understanding of my rights & the sociopolitical circumstances I face, it's absolutely devastating to see this happening to my birth city. #HongKongProtest #freehongkong #onecountrytwosystems
