If you could see yourself the way others see you what would you see?
Sometimes it’s hard to see ourselves realistically. Some are very hard on themselves & others don’t seem to be able to see their own weaknesses. Insecurity on the one hand, pride on the other!

After David’s sin with Bathsheba, and his subsequent attempt to hide their sin by sending her husband to the frontlines only to be killed, the Lord sent Nathan the prophet to confront him with his sin! Here is what happened!

Lighthouse!
Jesus is our Lighthouse; a Beacon in the storms of life!
When we walk through the storms of life sometimes it seems the way ahead is unclear. It’s at just these times we need to look up and look ahead. We need to look to our Lighthouse!

This is true for those of us who have our own children, but as in Paul’s case, also those who are our spiritual children; those we’ve nurtured in the Christian faith!

A Fixed Heart!
What does the future hold? We can’t be certain beloved! The use of the phrase, that the only certainties in life are death and taxes goes back to the 1700’s!

Our hearts must be prepared in the Lord! We must know without doubt that no matter what lies ahead He will walk with us through it!
There is nothing we will have to face alone! A person who trusts in Him doesn’t have to fear!

The Wheat and the Tares!
As much as we would like to see evil eradicated from the earth, and all those masquerading as angels of light to be revealed, the Word says the wheat and tares will grow along one another to the end!

Just how many posers,
and mask wearers are among us? It’s impossible to fully know unless they slip and reveal their true identity.
That’s why it’s so important to not just blindly follow anyone! Even those who claim to be good, or God fearing!

The devil was more subtle than any creature!! Think long and hard about that statement, before you say you couldn’t be deceived!

Control!
We can’t control when, where, or who we are born to. We can’t control the decisions made by others in our lives and in the world that affect us. But, there is one thing that only we can control!
We alone control where we will spend eternity!

He Understands!

It Only Takes A Spark!
Do you want to change the world? When I was a teen we sang a song in our youth group. It went like this.
It only takes a spark, to get a fire going. And soon all those around, can warm up in its glowing. That’s how it is with God’s love.

Once you’ve experienced it. You spread his love to everyone; You want to pass it on.
When the Holy Spirit’s fire is ignited in our hearts, it will spread to those we come in contact with!
Our hearts will be so filled with Him that we can’t help but share Him with others!

Christians are all at different points in our walk with the Lord!
We are all unique in our personalities and in how the Lord uses us too!
But, there is one Word for all of us! The same promises He has made to one, are true for all!

We must walk in obedience, not to someone else’s standards, but in obedience to His Word!

Why Can’t I Hear God?

Has the Lord called you to do something? When God calls us to do a task for Him, it’s not always easy is it?

A task by def. can be something hard or unpleasant to do; it can mean a rebuke, or adverse criticism of something or someone!
It’s also important to know in order to be prepared mentally, physically, & emotionally, that the enemy will do everything in his power to stop you!

He will often use people to accomplish that! People who discourage you, say you’re on the wrong path, and that you’re not really doing the Lord’s work!

A Mother’s Faith!
I love the story of the Mother in 2 Kings 4!
Her son died, but she refused to give up. She ran to the man of God because she had faith her son would live, in fact when she was asked about his welfare she replied, “it is well’!

Think about that beloved!!! She said those words of faith when her son was still dead!!!
My Mom always told me, ‘all is well’ when I was going through difficulty!
Not because things looked ‘well’, but by because we know that because of Who we belong to — All Is Well!
