There are at least 9 studies that show 100% renewables are 100% doable, that my article is based on. They are...
1. University of New South Wales (2012, 2013, 2016) - ceem.unsw.edu.au/sites/default/… @jennyriesz @CEEM_UNSW @UNSW
2. Institute for Sustainable Futures (2016) - uts.edu.au/sites/default/… (I was part of this team) @UTSISF @SvenTeske and they have since done the #OneEarth model

Hello 2019! What an exciting year for #cleanenergy its going to be☀️💨. Here's five things I'm looking forward to...
1. Two elections (Federal & NSW) where renewables and climate are squarely on the agenda. I hope to see some of our NSW & Federal Politicians adopt these Big 5 ideas to end the energy wars bit.ly/2BoV9m9. This would mean actual political leadership finally!
2. Lets make 2019 the year when locked out energy users such as renters (like me), low-income households, people who live in apartments & have shaded roofs can actually start to access solar in a big way, with policies in place to support them. For example bit.ly/2BZwOS

Professor Diesendorf's simple four-step recipe for #fairdinkumpower published by @TheAusInstitute in @renew_economy today

1) Provide additional $4 billion to @ARENA_aus & $2 billion @CEFCAus over 4 yrs to to stimulate dispatchable, flexible, renewable electricity and storage
2) expedite construction of key transmission links between Qld and NSW, SA and NSW, within north-western and western Vic, and within northern NSW to better integrate renewable electricity into the grid;

3) bring forward simple rule changes in #NEM to reward demand response and flexible, fast-response, dispatchable power and to reduce ‘gaming’ of the market by gas-fired generators
