For #solar energy to succeed, it needs to co-exist with #agriculture. When combined with threats from sprawl and low-density development—which are highlighted in AFT’s #FarmsUnderThreat report—the conversion of ag land for non-agricultural uses is a real concern.

We have to be careful here, and not replace one form of solar energy production for another, namely, photosynthesis. Simply put, we need to BOTH increase #solar production and retain our farmland, especially our most productive, versatile, and resilient #farmland.

How to get Liquidity Tokens for the @chikn_nft #Farmland mint tomorrow: A thread.
1.On Trader Joe, go to the "Pool" tab.
2.Click on "Import".
3. Click on "Select a Token".
4. Enter "EGG" or the token address if it is not already added to you Trader Joe. The address can be found at the bottom of the chikn.farm website.

5. Add a NICE amount of $AVAX and it will autofill the equivalent qty of $EGG. You will need 16 LP tokens for the mint, which will be approximately 120 $EGG + 2.75 AVAX. It will show an estimate of how many tokens (JLP) you will receive before you submit the transaction.

2/ Most visibily this agricultural abandonment leads to revegetation of land through secondary succession. The paper highlights how this process has the potential to reduce soil erosion, increase biodiversity and create carbon sinks.
3/ Conversely, it can also reduce many semi-natural, open habitats that were formerly maintained by traditional land management, causing significant impacts on the landscape, biodiversity, the ecosystems dynamics and landscape sustainability
