Controlled demolition as witnessed by not only civilians but journalists, #FDNY and #NYPD. Our own government not only played these brave people as fools but put them in harms way sending many to their peril.

I was on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, heading to a federal building for a Social Security hearing when I saw the smoke

The radio said it was an accident at first, reporting that maybe a small plane crashed

When the second plane struck, all doubt was removed

#NeverForget
A group watched on a portable TV as the fires raged, and people leapt to escape the inferno, making an unthinkable choice-the only decision they had left-about how they would die

#911Remembered
The first tower collapsed as we sat in horror

All those human beings, perished in an instant

But that didn’t stop firefighters and law enforcement from doing their jobs

They rushed in to help, knowing the danger
They always did

More than 400 gave their lives that day

#FDNY

Awful. @FDNY EMS paramedic Christell Cadet―who shared her #coronavirus struggle publicly last week from her hospital bed―is now in the ICU on a ventilator.🙏🏼

45 FDNY members (firefighters, EMS and civilians) tested positive for #COVID19.

Heroes.🇺🇸

nydailynews.com/coronavirus/ny…
My heart aches for Christell and her loved ones, as well as for these other #FDNY heroes.

All first responders should be tested EVERY DAY for #coronavirus, because they're at HIGH RISK of being infected.

They should also be screened for protective antibodies (prior #COVID19).
We need to protect our brave first responders by quickly identifying/isolating those who are infected with the #coronavirus. This will also help to protect other staff and patients from getting #COVID19.

#NeverForget911
exiting the tunnel was like a scene out of an apocalyptic movie set flaming chunks of debris atop of smashed cars, convoys of emergency vehicles, sirens blaring all making its way to the #WTC
At that moment we knew this was no “small plane” accident into a building
#September11
We staged at the corner of Liberty & West, together with countless other #Hatzolah #FirstResponders #FDNY & #NYPD units trying to determine how to help those trapped in the towers..chaos!
The panic as “another plane” was spotted flying in fast... #USAF F16
