This systematic review finds that the literature overall suggests that the metabolizable energy of nuts is lower than that predicted by Atwater factors, something that may in part explain the lack of an effect of nut consumption on body weight reported in the literature.
- This systematic review with narrative synthesis aimed to examine the metabolizable energy of tree nuts and peanuts in vitro and in adult humans.
- Findings suggest that the metabolizable energy of the nut types investigated (almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, and peanuts) is lower than what would be expected following application of Atwater factors.

This systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials finds that fiber supplementation is likely to be effective at improving constipation, with psyllium, doses >10 g/d and treatment durations of at least 4 weeks appearing to be optimal.

A number of these figures also show a couple of details which might be interpreted as headdress - and even #clothing from the Upper #Paleolithic #Gravettian (of which we have little evidence otherwise).

Une arnaque à la #fibre en 3 actes, permise grâce à la gestion actuelle du réseau. Acte 1: un démarcheur en porte à porte (ça existe encore) "envoyé par le dpt59" veut vérifier ma connexion pour "l'améliorer". Je refuse et il menace : "vous aurez des pannes la semaine prochaine".
Acte 2: la semaine suivante je suis loin de mon domicile et je constate que la connexion est coupée en milieu de semaine. En rentrant le samedi je contacte le SAV Free qui ouvre un ticket d'intervention de technicien, sans même poser de question.
Acte 3: Dès que le technicien Free arrive, il vérifie la cnx dans l'armoire (RIO) et en 2mn c'est réparé. Il m'explique que les cnx sont parfois débranchées puis les clients sont démarchés sur l'air du "votre FAI est peu fiable". En vert sur la photo : cnx pas encore rétablies.

Zero Price. One argument for zero price is that there are positive externalities and network effects for bringing everybody to the same high level service. A second is And that leaving poorer citizens and lower margin business behind is less inclusive.
Clearly charging those who can afford would make it less costly to the taxpayer, and be less regressive, but it is messy. But surely over time that would emerge? And behavioural insights might help design 100% take up with mostly positive pricing.
