We keep being told that #teachers are NOT at increased risk - “they” said that about drs & nurses in the #firstwave.
It simply does not add up that workers surrounded by children (esp teenagers) for many hours in crowded indoor spaces without #PPE are not at increased risk? 2/

As a non-statistician I’ll be brave & suggest that these stats were taken from too small a group, too early in the Autumn Term & should not be being used to claim safety for a whole profession now.

We’ve been a little quiet the last few days because frankly, we don’t know what to say. The unmitigated #COVID19 #ONhealth #onted disaster spurred by @fordnation @celliottability @sflecce @OntarioPCParty is now sprawling in so many directions, our heads are spinning.

Shall we talk about #Ontario's case count, which at 478 today is over 5x what it was 30 days ago & the highest since May 2? Shall we talk about how the source of most of these cases is unknown, and these #’s will continue to explode w/out decisive steps based on evid & experts?
