A quick analysis of #flaggate #DrapeauEuropéen. @EmmanuelMacron has been accused of “betrayal” and “provocation” by far right politicians for replacing the huge French tricolor flag under the Arc de Triomphe with the EU flag for the start of France's six month EU Presidency 1/ 
Interestingly, the centre-right Presidential candidate @vpecresse - supposedly as Europhile as Macron - has joined in the far right chorus of protest. This is the most obvious example so far of magnetic pull of hard right, Eurosceptic wing of centre-right on Pécresse campaign 2/
Was this a deliberate trap set by Macron’s people? Maybe not. But Macron evidently intends to use the coincidence of the EU Presidency to make a distinction between the vague European credentials of Pécresse & his own ambitions & ideas for the EU 3/

Back in the golden days when he was on here, I liked the odd Trump tweet. Because they were hilarious, and I wanted to use them as material for comedy. But obviously, context is irrelevant, so I'll hand myself in soon and apologise publicly for my unmitigated MAGA madness.
I note also that the #FlagGate mob would be lost without the words "smirking" and "sneering". As a thought experiment, consider how it would feel if they had to say the presenters "found it a bit funny" that Kenrick's flag looked undersize.
Remember #flaggate when everyone freaked out @realDonaldTrump hadn’t lowered flags for McCain? Looks like it was the handy work of one of the resist idiots @Project_Veritas has documented. First thing Monday morning message was sent that all flags be at half-staff for McCain.
Then someone from Denver NPS cancelled the order causing chaos in all the Departments, some then raised the flag back, emails were exchanged back and forth and eventually clarified but it was all thanks to some rogue employee. Should be noted NPS is full of SJW’s
Some in the Departments said they were waiting to hear directly from Whitehouse if you remember DJT was a little busy that morning announcing a YUGE trade deal with Mexico BUT the order had already been sent in the AM declaring it would remain half-staff until TBD.
