Here’s a thread on Northern Ireland’s connectivity.

(And also see my article for @NorthernSlant 👇) /1
With much talk of the recent #Flybe collapse and the #BorisBridge what is the future of transport in NI - how can we boost connectivity? /2
Why is connectivity so important?
📍Lack of infrastructure puts businesses and communities at a disadvantage
📍More infrastructure will boost NI in regional, national and global level and attract further financial investment /3

Already we have the first test of Boris' "get Brexit done" mantra.

British Airways' owner IAG has filed a state aid complaint to the EU Commission over the government's #Flybe bailout.

The Commission has the power to declare it unlawful. Even after we leave.

Brexit ain't done.
Or to say that more simply:

Even after we leave the EU, the EU could declare a UK bailout of a UK airline to be unlawful.

Put that on a bus, etc.
Granted, we're only really talking until the end of transition in 2020, and for a bit longer in some cases.

But still. Very illustrative of the fact that we're not done yet by any means.

The government is considering cutting the tax on flying to save an airline.
It should be increasing it to save the living planet.

Governments everywhere continue to behave as if nothing needs to change, in the midst of the greatest crisis humanity has ever faced: the gathering collapse of our life support systems.
We need an urgent programme for grounding the great majority of flights.
People are asking "what about the jobs if #Flybe goes under?".
But what about the jobs if the planet goes under?
And the lives?
There is no monstrosity that cannot be justified by the creation or continuation of employment. Including the destruction of human life.
