L'influenza inglese d'altronde si è sentita anche nello sviluppo del calcio in Italia. Come scritto nel libro "Calcio" di @Footymac il primo club italiano fu il Genoa Cricket (!!) and Football Club, creato nel 1893 da personale consolare inglese e non aperto agli italiani. 2/
