The biggest platform changes we've made:
1) We are now explicitly partisan. Democrats MUST win the #DemocracyReferendum in November.
2) Our focus has shifted to the Russian information war, election education, & ad hoc CTAs that support our mission.

On every Fourth of July I read Frederick Douglass's "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?" While he was too hopeful about America's capacity to change and move forward after the end of slavery his devastating indictment of America's racism and hypocrisy still holds true.
Ultimately black Americans grabbed onto that great tocsin of American freedom and will not surrender it -- even if too many millions of white Americans have discarded it for cheaply made "MAGA" hats.
Its not “small government” when congressional male republicans who aren’t gynecologists, feel Big Brother State must intervene in women’s reproduction and family planning issues because women (unlike men) can’t be trusted to make decisions with their doctors.

Tweeted this last year. Now the task force for denaturalization (what an appropriate topic for #FourthofJuly2018) is in place. A few takeaways:
1. Thus far, only applies to immigrants who applied for citizenship under a fake name.

2. The concern is whether it will be expanded for other misrepresentations, intentional or not. Also, given this admin's track record: targeting certain communities.
All valid concerns. There are legal defenses available in some cases. Of course, this assumes access to counsel.

3. The legalities will be unfortunately lost on most people, and like so many other initiatives in this admin, there's a "psyop" angle: spread fear, create panic, make every nonwhite person feel insecure. Because the govt can still come after people even with weak cases.
