Fun news!

I'm now offering a service for my fellow freelance writers: Research and outlines.

Here's how it works:
1. I research credible statistics, quotes, and examples for your future article.
2. I compile these findings into an optimized outline so you can start writing
Below is what a typical optimized outline looks like with the research included:
I've divided this service up into three different plans, which you can view here: jesspereirawrites.com/research-for-f…

Annnnd I'm officially open for work! Send me a note if you're interested in learning more 🥳

Most advice about getting started as a freelance writer is straight up WRONG.

❌Make a website
❌Get on all the freelancing sites
❌Have a vast portfolio
❌Work for free
❌Create a lead gen funnel

When I started, I had nothing - no website, no portfolio, & no funnel.
Got my first gig on Fiverr writing product descriptions for an eCommerce store.

He referred me to others with a similar need & I was in business.

Cut to now, I still don’t have a site, not active on any freelancing sites, & no lead gen funnel.

So here’s what to do instead:
✅ Use Ikigai to find out if writing is your calling

Everyone can write but not everyone should. Money shouldn't be the sole motivator.

Clearly state the name of the BUSINESS you're entering the contract with

2. Definitions
Any short hand you use (e.g. "Contractor" instead of writing your name every time)

2/
3. Nature and delivery of services (structure)
How you work together

4. Relationship of the parties
Who you are to each other (ie. you're NOT an employee)

5. Term and termination
Cancellation clauses / outs / etc
