Well, today's stage was, erm, how do we put it - unpredictable?
From Pinot abandoning the race at the start of the day, to Mother Nature calling an abrupt halt at the end, we really did have it all!
Definitely one for the history books.

Despite all the drama however, we did get a very interesting GC dynamic unfold on theIseran - Team INEOS finally assuming the dominant control that we've always known them for.

We're now at the business end of this year's race and within the mountains we've all been waiting for since the moment the route was first announced!

With the gaps so tight and the mountains we've got to come over the next three days, I'd bet my house (conveniently my parent's house😉) on the GC royally exploding - the final results looking vastly different to how they do now.

Este ano a competição começa na Bélgica numa homenagem a Eddy Merckx. E comprovando a incompetência da ASO em montar rotas, já temos o Muur van Geraardsbergen aparecendo a 150km da chegada, tendo efeito nenhum na corrida, fora imagens e curiosidade.
Deve ser uma etapa em que a fuga deveria receber o prêmio “eu não desisto nunca” já que ela não vai chegar nem a pau. Dia perfeito para algum acidente em massa como vem sendo a tradição do Tour em primeiras etapas que não são TT, já comprometendo a vida de um favorito.
