How womens restrooms can be made more inclusive: a thread 🧵
1. Remove bathroom locks - locks in bathrooms create a sense of hostility and may make many folk feel unwelcome. This is particularly important for people who want access to join someone else in their cubicle. (cont..) 
The removal of locks would transfer bathrooms from isolationist spaces (with notions of neoliberal individualism) into collective, social spaces, creating a better sense of community and solidarity amongst women, & facilitating more effective organization for womens liberation.

Dr. Katalia is parroting politically-charged claims— that ~80% of trans kids will spontaneously “desist” gender incongruence & identify as cisgender by natal puberty- claims rooted in bias from scientifically flawed studies, which aren’t supported by sound scientific evidence.

Wir hatten im Vorfeld und während der Demo wirklich den Eindruck, dass sich ganz Berlin (von Politiker:innen, über den random Mensch auf der Strasse, bis zum Boulevard) darauf einigen kann: Oben Ohne soll für ALLE gleichberechtigt und ok sein!
Allein die @polizeiberlin scheint andere Maßstäbe zu setzen - und das ohne rechtliche Grundlage und nach dem Ermessen einzelner Beamt:innen.

Let me use this example as an anchor to discuss the contested boundary of markets vs enterprises (hierarchies), and the role of processes vs mechanisms in that contest.
Standard transaction cost/contracting theory considers enterprises as solutions for opportunism (TCE) or hold-up (CT). Short version: things can go wrong, contracting parties might take advantage, so it makes sense to agree in advance who gets to decide. Voila: hierarchy.
