Yesterday in Abuja, @NhrcTweets continued hearing in the case of #Justice4JohnOkon, involving the death of John Okon, the cook to @HEDankwambo, whom the #FSARS of @PoliceNG beat & tortured to death in Kaduna on 13 Nov 2018. The hearing was revealing
John Okon was a cook & good man. When he discovered that 4 TV sets belonging to his employer had gone missing, he asked @policeNG officers guarding the premises what happened. When they failed to account sensibly, he reported to the police. It was a fatal error
Mr. Okon worked for 10yrs for a man who was good friend to @HEDankwambo. When Gov informed his friend that he needed a trustworthy domestic hand, he sent John off to work for the Gov. On 13 Aug 2018, he was hired as PA to the Gov to cook in the Kaduna residence
