Suletta didn't get angry when Miorine threw her away. She didn't get angry at Aerial or Prospera when they completely cut her off from them. Suletta never get angry when she got hurt. She never blames anyone for it.

But she has gotten angry before.

#G_Witch thread time! Spoils abound.

This time I wanted to dig into an element of the setting that intrigues me- Asticassia School of Technology. Specifically, what we can infer from the setting and the themes of the show from how Asticassia operates. Image
A society's institutions reflect the nature of that society. Being curated spaces, whatever happens there is permitted to do so.

Schools are key institutions because, being aimed at the young, they both impart skills society needs, but also instill society's value into them.
When my parents went to school, there were two special classes: Industrial Workshop and Home Economics. The first taught students how to use tools and machines to make things, the other, how to cook and clean.

Only boys could do Workshop. Only girls could do Home Ec.

'Suletta has had no character development unlike Guel!'

...lol. Anime viewers are about to encounter, for the first time, the concept of the *character* as the mystery. This is not ultra-rare in books, but in anime it's not very frequent. #G_Witch
The majority of characters encounter mysteries and try to solve them, learning about them at the same time/pace as the viewers. Suletta's the mystery herself; that's why you don't, for most episodes, know what she knows.
Ep12 lets you know that something's wrong with her, recontextualizing her previous actions and entire personality. It lets you know that there's something she isn't telling the viewers.

What the hell, Bandai.

How could you do this to your main character of one of your flagship franchises!?

Suletta being brown should not be ignored when making merchandise. We thought you knew better on this.

Yes, going by the prototype shots she's darker than Miorine still, but it's nowhere near accurate.
Please RT this btw, they shouldn't get away with blatant colorism and whitewashing like this for their main character ffs.

So, when will people realize that the character introduced by reading fascist literature is probably not the good guy of the Duelling Committee either?

He's reading Schopenhauer's On the Freedom of Will. You don't introduce someone with that accidentally.

#水星の魔女 #G_Witch ImageImage
Schopenhauer believed humans should bow to inherited rule of monarchy, which is how the Beneritt Group is set up to work. He was a eugenicist, which matches with how GUND technology which helped disabled people get by was banned.
He was also an anti-semite and someone who argued for pederasty as a positive in a child's upbringing, on top of making indirect statements on the purpose of sex and relationships which suggest he found gay people paradoxical at best.
