Here's a thought experiment for #Adventist Twitter. What if... we dissolved the conferences and merged them up to the union level? This could address several issues at once:
1) Segregation happens at the conference level. We would no longer have regional conferences and regular conferences, and we wouldn't have to negotiate the logistics of trying to merge them into one another with duplicative officers.
2) Church administration is bloated. We learned at #GCAC19 that admin growth far outstrips growth in number of members or pastors. Although the unions would have to increase in size compared to how large they are now, the overall number of administrators should decrease.

All 7 list her as an ordained minister, though in one the letters of "ordained" appear to have been crossed out at some point.

I wouldn’t mind all the energy spent on lectures about the evils of caffeine if the Adventist Church spent the same energy (or any energy, really) discussing things like racism and sexism that are killing POC and women faster and at much higher rates than a cup of coffee #GCAC19
Where are the worship thoughts about dismantling systemic racism, starting right here in our church? Where are the lectures about how the church should respond to and care for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault? #GCAC19
If you don’t want us to drink caffeine, fine. But why hasn’t our health message been expanded to include the health threats we’re now more aware of as 21st century Adventists? #GCAC19

Thread on why the #GCAC19 "Recommendations Resulting from the 2018 Annual Council Compliance Action" document is non-compliant with the "Regard for and Practice of General Conference Session and General Conference Executive Committee Actions" document voted at #GCAC18:
"Recommendations" is an attempt to make an end run around the compliance committee process outlined in the "Regard"—or an attempt to bend a free kick around them if you prefer association football metaphors. #GCAC19

The rationale is set forth lines 27–31 of "Recommendations":
In other words, compliance committees got bad PR, so we never started them. But, since you (GCEXCOM) told us in "Regard" that we could—not had—to use the compliance committees before discipline, we decided to go ahead without them.

Except that's not what "Regard" says. #GCAC19

David Trim, Director of @AdventArchives, is up now with some church stats and trends. #GCAC19
@AdventArchives The trend of church membership is going the way we want, says Trim. #GCAC19
@AdventArchives The number of accessions has been leveling off. It has been increasing, but the amount of increase is not as much as it once was. #GCAC19
