🚨🚨🚨 Dirty #republican #votersuppression is happening again. Despite 60% of #Sarasota voters overwhelmingly approving #singlememberdistricts in 2018, the @SRQCountyGov was able to piggyback a referendum on our upcoming School Tax Vote. 1/12
@gal_suburban spilled some tea on this company a while back. 2/12

We need to talk about just how corrupt we've allowed #democracy in #America to become, to the point it isn't democracy in many respects. And we need to stop #partisan squabbling and get to fixing it before we end up a one-party state, like #China. Thread👇

1/ We're nonpartisan, and we don’t usually weigh in on polarizing matters like #impeachment bc there are hundreds of orgs doing so already. It's simply not our role. However, this is a historic moment. It is serious, and it's linked to our work to fix our corrupt political system
2/ No matter what we say about the #impeachmenttrial, we’re going to upset ppl one side or the other bc today, ppl on the right and the left live in two completely different realities. We get our news from different channels, and each side gets a different set of “facts”.
3/ As a result, many people think Dems used the #impeachment trial as a bogus ploy to gain political advantage. Many others think #Republicans abandoned their sworn oath to protect the #Constitution and voted to protect their party at the expense of the people and the rule of law

doesn’t regret his anti-women’s choice protests. As a lawyer, he worked to create the #Gerrymandered legislative maps and he defended Act10 in front of #SCOWIS. 2/?
Look -- @JudgeScrenock knows that he doesn’t have to work to reach out to voters, because his friends in the special interest club will come to his rescue in 2018. He literally says nothing. 3/?
