For long I wanted to do a funny thread to show you some beautiful and a few slightly bizarre things I encounter on my daily #bikeride to work at @ISTAustria.

My way to work is just a few km, perfect distance to relax the mind after a long day without exhausting myself. most of it on bike paths, beautiful nature.
For the short distance, there is a remarkable amount of memorial plaques, miniature chapels and other landmarks that I pass by every day.
On my way to @BPEricAdams’s hearing on placard abuse. It’s 0.6 miles from my apartment. Let’s see how many illegally parked vehicles I see on my way...
Across from my front door, a @UPS truck and @Uber_NYC / @lyft blocking the bike lane and an entire traffic lane. Bikes and cars that want to get through must go (blind) into oncoming traffic.
Next - 8 illegally parked cars on the sidewalk, all with @NYPDTransit placards that say they’re there on “official business.”
A cyclist was struck this morning on Lowry Ave N between N 2nd Street and Washington in Minneapolis. Looks bad. State Patrol reconstructing.
The female cyclist is in critical condition. Crash occurred at 5:40am.
Sadly the cyclist died from her injuries. A #GhostBike is the one type of bicycle I don't want to see more of.
