Under de senaste 24 timmarna har ryssarna haft partiell framgångar kring Popasna. Detta när man nu bytt taktik, istället för att komma i massanstormning har någon av officerarna börjat använda huvudet. Nu sänder man/1

stöttrupper som kommer i flankerna, när man fått lite mark fyller man på med massan. Detta har fungerat och man har tagit mark nordväst om Popasna i riktning mot Berestove. Nu är detta ödemark, dvs inga bosättningar, men man vill få kontroll över vägen Bakhmut-Lysychansk/2
När våra officerare märkte taktikförändringen ändrade man också försvarstaktiken och sände anti-partisan plutoner för att avvärja de ryska spetsarna. Situationen var kritisk under några timmar innan man lyckades få stopp på ryssarna.

A couple of days ago, I mentioned Russia's obvious aim of land access from the breakaway areas in the east to Crimea. They're getting closer to achieving that now.

But focus in particular on the Dnieper River, one of the largest in Europe. That river splits Ukraine in half.
It seems to me that Putin's plan is very likely to involve annexing the whole eastern half of Ukraine - with Kyiv put under siege until the government surrenders.
