Challenges faced by community members in Kisii
1- To get ID cards the community has to reach a quorum of 10 applicants. A challenging number to hit due to their small population. It can take up to a year or two to reach the quorum.

2- Marriage certificate issuance is also an issue since the community does not have a Kadhi's court in kisii. They are forced to travel to homabay to get these services
Today we held a press briefing to plead with the government to award the Nubian community their right to citizenship.

We of the Nubian community shall not tire to demand for access to Identification cards and equal access to opportunity as other Kenyans.
