Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Jain says path is clear for hearing.

Senior Adv Harish Salve for Dhrama Productions says that first a viewing of the movie be arranged for the Judge.
ASG Jain reiterates that Air Force is shown in bad light in the movie.

Whether Air Force has been shown in bad light.. that is the end.. artistic freedom comes later. We have shown that problems are there in every field. We have shown both sides of the picture: Salve

Thread #GunjanSaxena
My initial schooling, kindergarten to seventh standard (80s), happened at an Army Public School in Kashmir. In the last 2 decades as a journalist, I got many opportunities to watch India’s defence forces, closely. I also like watching war movies.
I watched #GunjanSaxenaTheKargilGirl on @netflix. Although all the actors have done a great job, the director/producer has subtly and sometimes even blatantly, converted it into a political project at many levels.
One, it portrays most Indian Air Force male officers of the 80s & 90s as obnoxious misogynists. Second, it shows most of #GunjanSaxena’s male colleagues in Indian Air Force as insensitive and ill-mannered douchebags.

The saddest part of #GunjanSaxena review is women completely dismissing her story because 'they' think it could have NEVER happened cuz it dint happen to them or the people they know!

Where else have we heard this trope before?
Everytime! #MeToo is full of these responses!
even the chairperson, NCW has joined this rhetoric, unfortunately. Ma'am, really? this movie has to be banned? And, all the other bollywood films, actually problematic ones, overtly sexualizing women can continue to play?
i mean, arjun reddy???
really??????
Whatttt!!
Women did not even have a permanent commission until this year!

What on earth are you ALL ON ABOUT on zero gender bias!!!!!!!!

The movie is not saying IAF is awful, infact it shows discipline, and support towards the end.

Whats with the fragile egos?

I'm loving #GunjanSaxena so far but every time she smiles, I want to cry because those eyes and that smile remind me too much of my first love Sridevi. 😭😭
I don't think I can ever watch a Janhvi Kapoor movie without periodic breaks for crying about Sridevi.
Such a superb movie #GunjanSaxena is. An exploration of the person as a soldier, not random deification of a nation. Take a bow, @NotSoSnob

Unpopular opinion: For those whose grudge is with 'nepotism', instead of saying negative things about 'insiders', pushing trends on them *everyday*, why don't you say positive things about fabulous 'outsiders', so they get more adulation?

Here's a #thread that'll try & do that:
The intent of this thread is to celebrate great talent from the fantastic Indian shows and films in 2020. I haven't seen everything so I'll write about the actors I know and admire, and you all can keep adding about the actors you do!

I'll try and keep this an ongoing thread.
I think Sheeba Chaddha is an absolute legend; she makes every. single. thing. she's in better by being in it. She was fabulous in #BandishBandits (on @PrimeVideoIN), and brought such dignity to Mohini.

Find her in Mirzapur on Prime, Permanent Roommates on Liv & MANY others!

#GunjanSaxena is really good though, and so was Janhvi. Why isn't everyone talking about it? Very impressed by the way it looks at patriotism as a byproduct, a sidenote even, of a determined person's dreams.
The way the film uses the songs to underline her love for the act of flight is great too. Even the potentially bhaari Bharat ki Beti sits well within the film's context, all thanks to Pankaj sir's underplayed, understated father role.
There is zero melodrama. Even when the film calls for it as far as the protagonist's gender is concerned, it's rather dignified. Mostly because Gunjan doesn't want to prove a point, she just wants to fly. She isn't looking to win over the world, in fact, the world doesn't matter.

#GunjanSaxena is inspired by the life of
a fearless young officer who made history by becoming the first Indian female Air Force officer to fly in a combat zone during the 1999 Kargil War.
They say you don't meet people by accident, they are meant to cross your path for a reason. Following the journey of four different lives who meet at a crossroads, #Ludo is much more than just a mere coincidence.
