2/ Every night, right before you sleep, write down the top 3 things you need to do tomorrow AND anything that is bothering you.

Getting it out of your head will help you sleep better and get a faster start in the morning.
3/ Before taking a break from any complex work, always write down where you are and what you were doing.

It will save you a lot of time when you pick it up again, even if it's just an hour later.

18 Lessons I Learned and Quotes I Loved in 2018

(A thread) ⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. If it takes less than a minute, just do it.

Cleaning up, running back in the house to get something, picking up something you know you'll need later, switching the laundry as soon as it's ready (thanks @houseofleenyc ) ... it's all been worth the extra tiny bit of time.
2. Do not be afraid of your own voice/power/influence.

People are not as judgmental as you think. People actually want to hear your voice or feel your influence. You never know who needs to hear/read/see what you have to say at any given moment.

Reflecting on 2018, it’s been an incredible year in my life & I feel enormously blessed! I honestly feel this is 1st time I’m catching my breath since 2015. I began 2018 committed to healing & finding balance & I’m grateful for the journey this year has been 🙏🏾💕 Some highlights:
I’m honored whenever I’m invited to speak. This year, I was particularly moved to participate in MLK Day Celebration at Ebenezer Baptist at the invitation of @BerniceKing. Also a deep honor to speak at @Yale, @HU_GradSchool & in Charleston for 3 year anniversary of #Emanuel9 2/
Met so many amazing people this year & reconnected w/ many others. Being in Memphis for #MLK50 & convening w/ freedom fighters past & present was an experience I’ll remember always. Meeting civil rights icon Diane Nash & brilliant filmmaker Julie Dash were big highlights 👍🏾👍🏾 3/

1. Okay, I'm finally sitting down to do my own #2018InReview thread. A lot has happened in my life this year. I've made concrete progress as a writer, speaker, activist, and #Exvangelical advocate.. I'm in a transitional space but feeling somewhat more hopeful about the future.
2. I think I'll go essentially chronologically. Back in January, I was teaching what would become my last semester at the University of South Florida in Tampa. I had hoped that maybe another temporary but full-time with benefits position there would come along, but it did not.
3. I was left with the choice of eking out a living as an adjunct instructor with no benefits, or moving back in with my parents in Indiana for a while to try and see if I could keep the momentum up with the popular engagement through writing, podcasts, radio, etc. I'd been doing

One of the highlights of 2018 was the chance that we had to visit a few amazing places in the UK to talk about The Colour of Time and to see you all in person.
Our beautiful pop-up shop at @WaterstonesPicc was a huge hit, and represented an experience that I will never forget.
And overall, this is a year that I’ll never forget. (Photo taken in @AuschwitzMuseum)

On 🇪🇺 & 🇬🇧 & 🇳🇴 & 🦄🦄🦄

May 2019 bring much 🎂 to have & eat!

Due thanks @SebDance for inspiration
Some clever 🇬🇧 spin doctors have added a ➕ to 🇳🇴

assumedly to make it more alluring?

@USverdrup, Director at Norwegian Institute of International Affairs @NUPInytt noted to the 🇳🇴 @Aftenposten daily:
“If you stand at the edge
you no longer seek the best solution”
Please consider this:

Did any Central & Eastern European country joining 🇪🇺 2004
1st knock @EFTAsecretariat's door
as their preferred ‘solution’ for #SingleMarket access?

#EFTA & the #EEA Agreement it administers
= a barren 🏜️ for #democracy

A truly grey Brussels #bureaucracy.

(perché no?!?) felici,

Inspired by @BillGates, I made a resolution in the beginning of 2018 that I'll read 53 books in the whole year, averaging a book per week. As 2018 ends, I am happy to share that I could meet my target, and hence made this year intellectually stimulating and unforgettable for me.
In addition to my personal preferences, my reading list is influenced by the likes of @rammadhavbjp, @bibekdebroy, @HindolSengupta, @BillGates and @PandaJay. I read the following books this year:
1) The Bitcoin Standard by @saifedean
2) Our Time has Come by @AyresAlyssa
3) China's India War by Bertil Linter
4) Skin in the Game by @nntaleb
5) Factfullness by @OlaRosling et al
6) Enlightenment Now by @sapinker
7) The Future of Humanity by @michiokaku
8) Adi Shankaracharya by @PavanK_Varma
9) Directorate S by @SteveCollNY
