#HarHarMahadevॐ
Among all the Shivaratris of the year, the one that falls in the lunar month of Magha in Feb-March each year is considered to be most auspicious. As per Hindu calendar Maha Shivaratri is observed on the 13th night/14th day in the Krishna Paksha every year on the month of Falgun.
It marks the convergence of Shiva and Shakti. Of the twelve Shivaratris in the year, the Maha Shivaratri is the most holy. Mahashivarathri has many symbolisms and stories attached to it. Among householders, it is considered the night when Shiva married Parvati.

Generally, we see Nandi Maharaj sitting directly opposite the main door of the temple where Mahadev's idol or Shivalingam is located. He is not waiting for him to come out and say something. He is in waiting.
Nandi is symbolism of eternal waiting, because waiting is considered
the greatest virtue in Indian culture. One who knows how to simply sit and wait is naturally meditative. He is not expecting anything. He will wait forever.

The fundamental difference between Prayer & Meditation is that. Prayer means you are trying to talk to God. Meditation
means you are willing to just listen to existence, to the ultimate nature of creation. You have nothing to say, you simply listen.
That is the quality of Nandi – he just sits, alert, not sleepy. He is not sitting passively. He is very active, full of alertness, full of life,

Shiva Yajur Mantra, also famous as Karpur Gauram Karunavtaaram is one of the most famous mantras recited by Hindus. It's an ancient Sanskrit Shloka related to #LordShiva and an aarti in Shaivism. It's found in Yajurveda, one of the four canonical texts of Hindu Dharma, the Vedas.
Lord Shiva, one of Trinity Gods, is also known as Shankar, Rudra, Bholenath, Nilkantha, Mahadev. He's also known as the Destroyer or the Transformer according to Hindu Scriptures. He's the bestower of earthly happiness, promoter of good, and auspiciousness.
Lord Shiva is also called Shankara which means doer of good. He takes one beyond the three bodies (Tripura), gross, subtle, and causal that envelope the Jiva or the embodied soul. He is hence the Hara or the remover of all evil and the idol of renunciation.
