Frau Feldner besuchte kürzlich für unser aller Wohl auch das #WorldHealthSummit. Die Formulierung von #HealthSecurity als "soft underbelly of #democracy" ist zugegebenermaßen etwas eigenwillig: Als ob die Demokratie auf einem "weichen Unterbauch" überhaupt stabil stehen könnte.
Frau Feldner ist zudem glühender China-Fan und hält Europäer für eine Art ungehobelte Barbaren, die zu hygienischerem "Verhalten in der Gesellschaft" erzogen werden müssten. Sie spricht von einem dauerhaften "Leben in der Pandemie" und der Notwendigkeit von Überwachungs-Software:

“infodemic” is used to denote a rapid, large-scale spread of health info & misinformation through a variety of media and informational channels. This overabundance of information—some accurate and some not—makes it difficult for people to differentiate between false & true info.
Articles on: practice & research-based analysis of misinfo, characteristics of successful online messaging, disinfo & epidemics in the context of biowarfare, understanding the impact of diff news sources on risk perception & use of community listening to respond to false info.

Our role at @NCDCgov as included in the #NCDCAct requires us to 'support' states in outbreak preparedness and response. However, the dependence from states on the national agency is very high. Yet, we cannot ignore, because when we do, people die.
Health is on the "concurrent" list in #Nigeria, i.e responsibility of Federal & Sate govts. Unlike our security architecture which is centralised, our #healthsecurity is de-centralised. No clear line of control & we've to work hard to collaborate & cooperate across govt levels
