#HomecomingTV S2 is weird. The whole season is structured like a mystery, but anyone who watched S1 will know exactly what happened by the end of the second episode. We spend the rest of the season watching the characters figure out what we already know.
It feels like the show was so desperate to ape things that were distinctive about S1 - the non-linear structure, the amnesiac heroine - that it fails to realize the story it's telling would have actually worked way better without them. #HomecomingTV
I say this as someone who thought there wasn't much substance to #HomecomingTV already in S1, but it really feels as if S2 is scrambling for some way to extend its story and coming up with really thin stuff, so instead it plumps for tropes and aesthetics.
