If your interested, here’s the recipe:
500g elderberries mixed with 250ml cider vinegar, put in an earthen casserole dish with a lid and put in the oven overnight at 100c (no higher)

Add 1 blade of mace, 4 all spice berries, 6 cloves, 1 tsp black pepper corns and a thumb size chunk of ginger that’s been bashed to release the flavour and 2 shallots chopped

Here are the ingredients: 2 cups of lukewarm water, a scant 6 cups of bread flour, a packet of yeast, 1 tablespoon of canola oil, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, and 3 teaspoons of sugar.
You'll also need food-grade lye. This scares people but it shouldn't. You need to take care when using it, but it's really not a huge deal. I've made dozens of batches over the years and never had any problem. You can order it online. I ordered mine from essentialdepot.com.
Now, the worst one ever got from our #homemade #chalupas was a bit of excess #flattus, unless, like me, you pile on the #jalapenos, then maybe there's some burning at the exit!
