To that end, I took the Global Gender Gap index from the (2018) Global Gender Gap report and used the percentage of #Muslims per country as a predictor. (Note the confusing fact that a high index means a small gap)

On Burns Night, my boyfriend and I had a really shit #homophobic incident in #Glasgow's southside. We were holding hands, and a guy walked passed us and called us a "pair of bent bastards". I challenged him, he repeated the phrase, I called 999.
For the next 26 mins, I stayed on th phone w/@policescotland, my boyfriend filmed and th man continued to call us "bent bastards" "bent cunts" "fucking poofs" "pair of poofs", "it's not fucking right two men sleeping together" (limited but effective lexicon: he did not like gays)
He hated me. He told me that. He snarled at me, told me that I was against the law, that I was fucking disgusting, for the best part of 30mins. This man saw me as one thing he despised; not as a brother, or a son, or grandson, or a friend, or whatever.

So I am in Houston where one of my partners lives. My partner is a white non-binary femme & we had spent the day together before I checked into the hotel yesterday. The person checking us in said “Are you two together?” and I said yes.
The front desk person began checking me in and then said “Do you want a double suite?” I didn’t understand & asked them to repeat. The person said “You’re registered for a king bed, do you want a double suite instead? With two beds?”
1) There is never a minute of peace, when it comes down to copping Threats, Racist Abuse, & bullying from #Serco employees in Arbitrary Detention.
The compound i'm currently in, is made up of extremely medically unwell detainees, elderly, depressed, disabled, suicidal etc.

2) The detainees brought to the attention that they are absolutely terrified of an extremely Racist Serco Bully named: 'Bruce'. A middle aged white man, who works as "Welfare & Engagement Officer". He would regularly subject detainees to Racist Abuse, & derogatory racial slurs.
Annexure 1: A different #Serco guard abusing & using #Homophobic slurs against elderly detainees in a deifferent detention centre in #MITA.
