U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday announced a plan to wipe out some #student #debt. Up to 20 million borrowers will see their debt completely eliminated.
The debt cancellation is reserved for those who earn less than $125,000 per year or families who earn less than $250,000 per year.

We all know #COVID19 has impacted spends but do you know by how much, which category & are there signs of recovery? To answer this, we looked at the spending patterns of our users, who manage ~₹10K Crore of expenses monthly & compared their March-June 2019 spends to that in 2020
First up #shopping: After a steep fall in April by 87%, shopping expenses staged a strong recovery in June to 37% fall compared to last year👍

2. Pradhan Mantri #Kisan Pension Yojana: To address the problems of farm sector distress, the Modi 2.0 Cabinet has approved a proposal to provide small and marginal #farmers with a minimum Rs 3,000 per #month fixed #pension, costing Rs 10,774.5 crore per annum to the exchequer.

Today, I will try my hand at live tweeting insights from "A #Home of One's Own", a two-day #researchworkshop on socially & economically #marginalised women's experiences of and negotiations with #genderinequalities in #informalurbanhousing in India.
This workshop has been organised by #JadavpurUniversity (School of Women's Studies), #RabindraBharathiUniversity (Centre for Women's Studies) and #Parichiti, a women's organisation. All three are research partners on a #GCRF project funded by @GoldsmithsUoL.
Since Oct 2018, I have collaborated with Dr. Henrike Donner, who is leading it, to develop #researchcollaborations with #educational and #development organisations in India to implement a pilot study on #genderurbanhousing. This workshop marks the end of the first phase.
