On February 15-16, Beijing will seek to defend its compliance with the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights at a review by the U.N. Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (#CESCR).

And while there certainly has been some progress in the past nine years, the Chinese party-state will seek to present a happy, alternative reality that denies many indisputable facts.
UPDATE: Guangzhou police have refused to provide the family members of #HuangXueqin and #WangJianbing with detention notices and they have refused to clarify the criminal charges they are being detained on.

Wang Jianbing's family has gone to four places (广州市海珠区新港派出所、海珠区公安分局、广州市公安局、广东省公安厅等四级部门进行信访) in Guangzhou seeking written detention notices and to know the criminal coercive measures they are detained on.
