On Wednesday, I made #allthepies--apple, pecan, pumpkin.

Or so I thought...

A thread.
If you know anything about me, you know I love pie & love making pies. You also know that my husband @n_d_anderson & I garden & can. You also know that I love hanging out on Twitter.
So Wednesday was a fun day for me: making the pies, hanging out on Twitter, talking about life in Appalachia. I made my pecan first & then went downstairs to grab pumpkin off the shelf.

A snippet from #TurningofDays. Really loved this project b/c it let me build on themes from previous books while giving attention to how those truths are embodied in natural world.

Readers of #HumbleRoots and #AllThatsGood will recognize this mashup. Finding patterns & connections btwn natural revelation & specific revelation is my absolute favorite. Would write this book 100x in a 100 different ways if given the chance.
All that to say, I can't wait to get it in readers' hands. I'm usually like, "Yeah, so I've got a book coming out... but only read it if you want... I mean no big deal... it is what it is." It's different somehow w/ this one.

In fact, the only numbers that I pay attention to are Dewey Decimals and Library of Congress record. Maybe ISBN.

Yes! I never bought "narcissism" explanation for millennial depression, anxiety. What Ive observed is a culture of perfectionism.
Image crafting may lead to self-absorbtion, but in the digital age, it's first and foremost a survival skill.
This is the pain point of #HumbleRoots--I saw so many peers (& myself included) struggling to make sense of our limits in a world that demands we be limitless.
