Having been in @MultiversX from the early $ERD days, I have a close affinity with our ecosystem, the builders I work with and our ever present #MVX community.

This notion first raised its head when I tried to promote other projects, and I realized that in order for this to succeed, first we have to promote MultiversX, as so far there has not been a community development fund provided by the team to date.

I'm doing some research on supporting Manager of Managers, hence forwards on #MoM Currently split into two different themes - 1) Similar, but moar (sic)! and 2) Very different
Let's talk about #MoM theme 1. Firstly, context switching. If you move from IC -> EM, you inevitably have more meetings. As you move from EM -> #MoM, this amplifies. You're now having meetings across different teams (often working on different topics), but to mention inter-dept

Here’s a taste of Joseph’s priority list about standardizing processes:

1. Deployment process

Make sure that your deployment is repeatable and consistent regardless of which developer is doing it. Document it first, and when it’s done, you can automate it in large parts.
2. Monitoring

Monitoring gives your engineers metrics about the code’s performance in production. There are great tools out there that are easy to set up, and save you a lot of time and energy in the long run. Make sure to have it send your team a message when something breaks.

Some key takeaways:

1. Create hiring requirements

Don't lower the bar in hiring, look for people as good or better than your existing employees. Create explicit requirements for each position so applicants are measured to the same standard whoever conducts their interviews.
2. Hire engineering managers with deep technical knowledge

This is essential for tech companies in hypergrowth. You need managers to mentor and support your junior employees and new hires. You can’t rely only on senior engineers for this, they’re busy coding and interviewing.
