Three more Iowans have died from COVID-19, pushing total to 1,221 since first death on March 24.

Deaths were reported in Black Hawk, Mahaska, and Woodbury Counties.

On a day when three more Iowans have died from COVID-19, hospitalizations for that disease were down 2 to 272, including 75 in intensive care units.

There were 34 new admissions to Iowa hospitals for COVID-19 in the last 24-hour reporting period.
Between Sept. 13 at 10 am and Sept. 14 at 10 am, there were 406 new cases of COVID-19 reported, pushing Iowa's total to 74,767.

Subtracting deaths (1,221) and "recoveries" (53,319), there are now 20,227 active cases - the highest number yet - one out of every 156 Iowans!

Two more Iowans have died from coronavirus, pushing total to 1,218 since first death on March 24.

Deaths were reported in Polk and Webster Counties.

Please mourn the dead, support loved ones and caregivers, and help stop the spread of this deadly infectious disease.
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 were down to 274, the lowest level since August 23. (Sadly, 184 Iowans have died of the disease since then.)

Intensive care use was down to 79.

There were 36 new admissions to Iowa hospitals for COVID-19 in the last 24-hours reporting period.
Between Sept. 12 at 10 am and Sept. 13 at 10 am, there were 814 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Iowa, pushing the total to 74,361.

Subtracting deaths (1,218) and "recoveries" (53,120), there are now 20,023 active cases - the first day over 20,000 and highest number yet!

At 11 am today, the state updated the number of Iowa kids under age 18 who have tested positive for coronavirus:

5,363

That's up 91 from yesterday.

That's up 1,548 since Aug. 22.

Deaths were reported in Black Hawk, Polk, Wapello, and Winneshiek Counties.

On a day when four more Iowans are reported dead from COVID-19, the state is also reporting hospitalizations down 1 to 310, including 87 in intensive care units.

There were 62 new admissions to Iowa hospitals for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The state is also reporting 740 new cases, pushing Iowa's total to 66,137.

The 740 new cases were confirmed on 5,670 new tests being reported, for a rate showing COVID-19 of 13.1%.

As of yesterday, Iowa was reporting 4,538 kids under age 18 had tested positive for the disease.
