1./ I've compiled a Top Ten Gender Baloney
to celebrate the pointless, performative idiocy of #IDAHOBIT. Each clip highlights a "triumph" of the new style LGBTQ+ movement. Let's start with the sort of a-gender polyamorous family so much of the LGBTQ+ lobby wants us all to have.👇
2./ Imagine how much fun their kids have working out what gender (if any) they are ....or are not. Imagine too how many of society's urgent mental health issues will be solved by completely confusing children and preparing them for medicalisation. What a brave new world!
3./ Talking of medicalisation here's Jazz Jennings' mom express the love only a mom can feel as she describes how she has to bully Jazz into keeping the surgical creation she calls a vagina...dilated. She'll strangle Jazz if it seals up she says. How sweet!

@premierbhiggs⁩ it is not the jurisdiction of school boards to “out” LGBTQ kids. Your job is to facilitate the education of all these young people in compliance to human rights policies bound to equity and inclusion. cbc.ca/news/canada/ne…
As an Acadian and Mi’kmaw person my people have always had love for people of all genders and gender preferences because diversity of perspective it gives on life is insightful and valued. We love all. The English always put people in categories of race, class, gender etc. Why?
My people never even had words for black people until they attended schools in New Brunswick. These concepts of intolerance were imported like an invasive species of the mind. It is toxic thinking. You have laws and human rights to uphold and they are there for all not just some. ImageImage

In 2019, Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalise same-sex marriage, and has now approved an amendment to an existing law after years of fierce campaigning by LGBTQ+ activists. (2/5)
Previously, if a same-sex couple wanted to adopt a child, only one of them could register as the child’s legal parent.

The extension to the Same-Sex Marriage Act, approved on 16th May, allows same-sex couples to jointly adopt a child to whom neither of them is related (3/5)

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy has fought for the queer community for more than 50 years – from participating at Stonewall to battling the modern pushback on trans rights.

For this #IDAHOBIT Miss Major tells PinkNews all about her decades-long fight for equality. 🧵 (1/6)… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Miss Major was there when gay, queer and trans folks led an uprising against such oppression in June 1969 after New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn. The riots catalysed the LGBTQ+ movement in the US and worldwide. (3/6)

As part of a Public Health Masters, I’ve spent 12 months exploring evidence related to sociocultural barriers faced by lgbtqi+ people when participating in community sport. My critical review was submitted last month. Here’s a 🧵on practical things I thought it useful to share..
1/ There are many brilliant people, including academics in this space who will know much of this already. Many of you are now my role models! Too many to name but thank you @DrRyanStorr @LindsayDuncan9 @sscherrick for your work in this area so far!
2/ There is lots to cover, including needing to be nuanced in approach. There’s also a lot not touched on below - for obvious and, not so obvious reasons. I did this is in my personal capacity - worth stressing these are my views and interpretation of insight.

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is an opportunity to join together in condemning the vile hate that still threatens the safety, well-being and fulfillment of our LGBTQ friends, neighbors and loved ones. #IDAHOBIT
Today, and every day, we recommit to rooting out discrimination. That fight remains as urgent as ever, as right-wing forces target trans students, Republican leaders threaten to unwind marriage equality and a radical Supreme Court takes aim at Americans’ most fundamental rights.
Many LGBTQ Americans continue to fear for their jobs, their homes and their lives. @HouseDemocrats have long been proud to combat this inhuman bigotry alongside courageous LGBTQ leaders and advocates. We remain unwavering in our commitment to the continued struggle for justice.

Council is reconvening in open session, following an earlier closed meeting (which started at 5pm).

Mayor Armstrong begins with a moment's reflection for the #IDAHOBIT2021, and he talks about inclusion and feeling welcome.
Coun Hallman reads the land acknowledgment. A modified version has been read by the women councillors at recent meetings, and it reflects the fact that the meeting is virtual. Coun Hallman also refers to #IDAHOBIT.

1./ Someone asked me today if I was marking #IDAHOBIT2021. Seriously!? Here's why this daft sounding day against homophobia, transphobia and who knows what else phobia is a useless backslapping exercise and a perfect example of the trap the LGBTQ+ movement has locked itself in.
2./ Remember when gay people used to be quite good at this marketing game? Now we're associated with an international day that has the general public sniggering and guffawing since it conjures up nothing more than a certain movie filmed in New Zealand.👇
3./ Ironically, like the title of that trailer IDAHOBIT has gone on an Unexpected Journey of its own. Dreamed up by Lesbian & Gay groups in 2004, May 17th was chosen because that was the day in 1990 when @WHO dropped HOMOSEXUALITY from its list of diseases. Remember the H word?

There is no liberation without queer, gender, and sexual liberation.

For #IDAHOBIT, reposting this from March 6, 2020, when dear friend #Egyptian drag queen Ana Masreya invited me to speak at her show Nefertitties. It was just before our lockdown in #NYC.
May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia, and Transphobia.

The club in Brooklyn that night in 2020 was full of queer people from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Morocco, Jordan. And on stage with Ana Masreya were Mexican queen Koko Rokoko and Palestinian queen Eva Laurent. It was 🔥🔥🔥

Schickes Wort. Doch was bedeutet das eigentlich?

#IDAHOBIT

bzfd.it/2OGscpL

bzfd.it/2MvDlrK
