@UNGeneva is reliving the tragic end of #LeagueOfNations. About 90 years ago, #Ethiopia was unforgettably betrayed by the #West when invaded by #Italy.
Now, #UN is sponsoring disintegration of 🇪🇹 by helping a #terrorist with its malicious agencies alongside #US

#EnoughIsEnough
And @WhiteHouse is calling upon its ultimate hand @UNGeneva's #SecurityCouncil to intimidate #Ethiopia.
Well, the world especially #Africa is watching. No country in #Africa misses that the same would happen when they stand for their people.
@UNGeneva is being tested & failing.
@WFP_Ethiopia, @UNICEFEthiopia & @USAIDEthiopia did all the despicable vicious conspiracies to help #TPLFTerroristGroup kill, commit #massacre, render millions into #IDPs and mainly dismantle #Ethiopia. All of these is happening under #UN's watch.

There're about 1000 #Irob #IDPs in Mekelle & about 20,000 in Adigrat & Wurko. They’re farmers, most’ve never been this far away from their homes, they don’t know the system & language barriers added, most of them have been lost & remain helpless.1/ @UNOCHA @OCHA_Ethiopia @ICRC
They've been living on the shoulders of relatives for 8 months.A family is hosting 5-10 IDPs since the war, making the already bad situation for families worse b/s there's not enough space nor supply for all of them in a given family. 2/ @WFP_Ethiopia @EthioRedCross @CARE @USAID
In her recent trip to #Tigray @selamina_a met with #IDPs who have been displaced & are in critical situations. Irob #IDPs have remained w/o aid & access to IDP centers for months. They would have been starved if it was not for thier fellow Irobs in Mekelle 3/ @Refugees @OmnaTigray

1/4 The #Houthi militias' offensive in #Marib is an imminent threat not only to the peace process but most importantly to more than 2 million #IDPs in Yemen. This community fled the brutality of the rebels to have a life, which is why Marib alone hosts 60% of #IDPs across Yemen
2/4 Renewed large-scale Houthi attacks on #Marib, the largest home to #IDPs, puts hundreds of thousands IDPs under serious threat of another displacement. In other words, the Iranian-backed escalation will displace non-combatants who were already displaced by the #Houthi rebels.
3/4 Over the past 2 weeks, renewed Houthi violence deliberately shelled 4+ IDP camps in Marib to increase civilian damage, displacing more than 6000 IDPs & shutting down several #IDP camps. This once again affirms their deep-rooted disrespect for human lives & innocent civilians.

Here is a briefing for all those "impressed" by the #tearsandswindle enacted by #LittleNapoleon in this clip in Calabar yesterday. It's not the 1st time: On 17 Jan 2017, @ben_ayade announced abolition of all forms of taxation for low-income earners in Cross River state.
According to his spokesman, Christian Ita, @ben_ayade made the order after signing the 2017 budget of the state into law, saying: “I am sounding the last warning that henceforth I don’t want to hear any1 who earns less than N50, 000 a month being taxed in any form in the state."
On that occasion, @ben_ayade also cried. But if he had occasion to "abolish" again in May 2020, the same taxes he had abolished with the same words & tears in 2017, it is because the 2017 abolition didn't work & the 2020 abolition won't work. Let's stick with the tears 1st....

OK. Here we go. #ICJ Provisional Measures Order #TheGambia v #Myanmar #Rohingya #Genocideconvention Judge Sebutinde - not on the bench.
- Background of application - omitting procedural history etc.
Reference to #Rohingya group that self-identifies as Rohingya; prima facie jurisdiction need not be definitive as to merits of the case - art 36(1) ICJ Statute & Art 9 Genocide Convention - this needs to be satisfied first
Parties to GC - no reservation to art 9 by Myanmar but to art 6 & 8; no reservations of Gambia; “dispute” exists where hold “clearly opposite views” re performance/non-performance of obligations;one party maintains dispute, other denies it. Therefore compromissory clause comes in
