Significant progress in #Canada where all but one medical school have #FirstNations representation in #leadership roles. A breach of #culturalsafety is a professional breach that can be addressed by authorities. @RicharLisa @Royal_College #IMS2023

This morning I met with the @AFMC_e Board of Directors and am very happy to say that they have fully supported the Joint Commitment to Action on Indigenous Health.

Staff MD 1: Is there a hospital there?

Staff MD 2: Where they go around shooting bows and arrows at each other?

It was all smiles and accolades at the launch, but everyone seems to be glossing over the centre’s funding source and the huge ethical problems that raises.

The centre is being funded by The Foundation for a Smoke-Free World. Here’s their President, Derek Yach, talking about the new research centre. vimeo.com/285901659
