YOU AND YOUR INLAWS

By 8 June 2022, I would have been married for 30 years. I have always related to my in-laws well. I am also conscious of the fact that I will become a father-in-law one day. So, I am careful with today.
My father in law died a few years ago and my mother-in-law aged 85 is still alive. I have never had an issue with them. Let me explain:

Before I got married, I made up my mind that I will treat my in-laws like my parents.
So, I will enjoy the good that they do and forgive the sins they committed. I also decided in advance that just as I cannot reject my biological parents, I will not reject my parent in-laws. I have always looked after them like my parents and God is my witness.

Positive #transformations are always great to see as an end product. The journey to a transformation however is almost always hidden. On the first day of #phd #gradschool in @umasschemengg, I introduced myself by saying....contd.

....I came to the US for the ‘#science’ and ‘#fitness’ industry that is known to be the best in the world. Everyone got a good laugh 😂 out of it. However, I wasn’t kidding at all 😈! I always had this vision of a scientist 👨🏾‍🔬who is also ripped to the core physically 💪🏾.
In that pursuit, I reached my best physique towards the end of year 2 of my #PhD when I also got #married 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽 to @priyankaitkar9. I was still not quite there with the #science. Today, 4 years later, I am successfully @PhDone2020 and getting close to the best shape of my life!

After 6yrs of a roller coaster ride #PhD and 1yr of #jobsearch, #immigration woes, and a #pandemic, I am humbled and happy to officially accept a Postdoctoral Scientist position @abbvie. I owe this to my wife and savior @priyankaitkar9, #parents, #inlaws, and all #familymembers!
Shoutout to kind and supportive people in my life who guided me and kept me sane and positive so I could aggressively go after my dreams @UMassChemEng @IITGuwahati.
I am also #grateful to all the people who offered me #interviews and #postdoc positions. You helped me gain confidence in my abilities and it was emotionally difficult to decline your offers! 🙏🏽
