It’s been a lot of heavy news lately, so we’re taking a breather to celebrate #WorldOrangutanDay! In Malay, “orangutan” means “forest people.” While they’re actually primates not people, they are very similar to us, sharing 97% of our DNA!! (1/4) 
The Sumatran Orangutan is an arboreal creature, which means it lives, eats, & sleeps almost exclusively in the tree tops of the rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia - this is part of the reason it’s so important to #KeepForestsStanding 🌳(2/4)
