1. People say I donât look Autistic.
People also say I donât look sick or disabled. But itâs not something you can always actually physically see. You canât see Autism just like you canât see a lot of disabilities and physical health conditions.

All of my work interactions are virtual at the moment, as I am sure many of yours are too. In this format I think it is even more difficult to be aware of an #InvisibleIllness or #InvisibleDisability so for #MEAwarenessHour I'd like to ask you to keep this in mind.
It will be harder for you to see if someone is facing challenges so it's perhaps even more important than ever to be kind & considerate in all of your online work interactions.
It's easy to be dismissive, to compare someone else's situation to your own, or to persuade yourself that perhaps your colleague's slow progess is because of a lack of effort. It's important to have empathy & not to judge.
Time to do this.

I want to talk about who I saw at the Capitol on the 6th. And by "who I saw" I don't mean "I literally saw him in the crowd" - as far as I know, I don't think he was there.

Depending on how you know him, he's different people.
To some, he's the nice nurse anesthetist, coming in to talk to you before your surgery, assuring that you're in good hands & you'll be safe. He'll put you to sleep & check in on you in recovery. 3/
