Alan Ditty—union pipefitter, husband, and father of two— died on March 12, 2016. He had worked for the city of Minneapolis for 32 years, and was only one year away from early retirement eligibility. He called in sick just three days over three decades. 
Ditty cared deeply and fiercely for his employees and the public he interacted with on a daily basis. When he discovered that a raid was imminent on a #BlackLivesMatter encampment after the fatal police shooting of #JamarClark in 2015, he feared for everyone’s safety.

MPD officer Jeff Jindra repeatedly kicked a handcuffed Philander Jenkins in the head in 2003, causing his face to shatter. Then they planted a gun, fabricated charges, & Jenkins was sodomized by a deputy before taxpayers paid a $110K settlement. cuapb.org/3_21_2007_news…

Isak Aden was a 23 y/o college student, entrepreneur, & father figure to his younger siblings when he was killed by police in Eagan, MN, on July 2, 2019.
He had immigrated to the US w/ his grandma after both his parents died in the Somali civil war.

Responding to a disputed domestic disturbance call, nearly 100 officers from a slew of south suburban police depts – including the South Metro SWAT unit, 4 snipers, three K-9 units, an MRAP, & 2 Bearcats – quickly surrounded #IsakAden in a parking lot off HWY 13 in Eagan.
