1-I can't remember not trying to find a job. I started working around 13 as babysitter. Somehow at (I think) age 14 worked at 'Community Marketing Institute' getting financial info from ppl on phone for them to apply for credit cards (??)...
2-In high school,πŸ’•Red Lobster (hostess, cashier): 2 married mgrs there ('Mrs. T' and a guy) ran off together. Most of the waitresses were really nice except mean Donna who used to yell at me until 1 day when I stood up for myself.
3-I worked extras shifts in the back splitting lobster shells in this weird machine. We used to put popcorn shrimp in our hostess pockets and snack on them. It was a very clean kitchen I will say, no gross stuff going on. Great food.

Clearing out my notes! So a quick thread on contextual knowledge for Jekyll & Hyde:

1. When Stevenson first wrote J&H, his wife, Fanny was appalled & he burned the 1st manuscript. He then rewrote it & it was hugely popular. 40k copies sold in the UK & 250k copies sold in the US.
2. The character of Jekyll might be inspired by siblings Thomas & Jean Weir - both devout Christians. Thomas confessed to leading a double life - committing various offences in his spare time including incest and witchcraft. Both were hung. More here: drvitelli.typepad.com/providentia/20…
A line by Thomas Weir: β€œlet me alone. I have lived as a beast. I must die as a beast.”
