On Wednesday, just after 5 pm, Regis Korchinski-Paquet fell to her death from a 24th floor balcony. Family members took to social media, claiming that she was ‘thrown’ or ‘shoved’ by police. #regisKorchinskiPaquet
SIU said police were called to the unit that day to deal with a “domestic incident,” but Regis' family told media that it was also a mental health call because Regis has epilepsy, violent seizures and wanted Regis to be taken to CAMH. #RegisKorchinskiPaquet

We can't stress this enough for the people planning to attend the #JusticeForRegis. The pro-COVID rally attendees that may be in Queen's Park should not be considered allies. Many of them believe that #BLM and anti-fascists are funded by George Soros.

When I asked if we would also talk about Regis Korchinski-Paquet, I was told:
2/ "I checked with the team, and while we want to look at the issue as a whole we do want to focus on George Lloyd and Amy Cooper. It's an 8 min slot so if we start to get into all the other elements of the conversation (Regis, Breonna), we would run out of time.
3/ In my pre-interview, the producer went on to say that the focus of the piece was "American racism" and that there wouldn't be time to talk about "Canadian issues," though she had heard about it and thought "of course" it was important.
To anyone planning on attending the #JusticeForRegis protest in Toronto tomorrow be aware that there will likely be another pro-COVID-19 rally in Queen's Park.
